Family: Papilionidae

The Fivebar Swordtail (Pathysa antiphates) has a long, slender, tapering projection from each hindwing which looks like a sword. Hence the name swordtail. In Peninsular Malaysia, this species is usually found in the forested lowlands. It may be seen flying close to the ground along river banks.
