The Lime Butterfly (Papilio demoleus) is a common butterfly which thrives wherever its larval food plants, various species of Citrus, are cultivated. It has a wide range, stetching from Arabia to south China, Southeast Asia, Australia and Hawaii. In some regions it is considered a pest due to the larval attacks on Citrus trees. The subspecies found in Malaysia is malayanus.
