Costus speciousus: This ginger plant grows to a height of six to eight feet (roughly two metres), with long leaves arranged in a sort of spiral. Known as "setawar" in the Malay language, it is used as a herbal remedy for fever. The leaves are ground into a paste and applied to the forehead to bring down a high fever.
