Rhododendrons have a tendency to form natural hybrids. These striking bell-shaped flowers may be those of a natural hybrid between Rhododendron buxifolium and Rhododendron rugosum. This rather bushy plant grows at an altitude of about 3,500m or 10,000ft on Mount Kinabalu.
