Tiny House Dwellers (Oecobiidae)
AS THEIR COMMON name indicates, these spiders are extremely small. For example, the
Oecobius species shown here have a body length of only 2mm or less. They make silken retreats in small
depressions on walls or at the corners of rooms. They prey on tiny ants. They escape attention simply because of their
