NOTE: Skippers are usually small to medium size and drab or cryptic coloured, with some exceptions, compared to the true butterflies, and are often mistaken for moths. Their antennae are tapered and bent (sometimes described as hooked) unlike the club-shaped antennae of the true butterflies. They are fast flyers and difficult to see in flight. Family Hesperiidae is divided into Coeliadinae (Awls), Pyrginae (Flats) and Hesperiinae (Swifts), the largest of the three subfamilies.
